Chik Ian

Dr. Chik Ian graduated from Dalhousie University, Canada in 2007. He underwent his housemanship and medical officer training in Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban, until he was accepted into the surgical training programme in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). After graduating with Doctor of Surgery in 2017, he joined UKM as a lecturer. Subsequently, he started his subspecialty training in Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery in 2019, and completed it in 2023. He was fortunate to have a year's experience in Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, where he gained invaluable experience in MIS HPB. His other special interests include nutrition and hernia repair.
