Dr Bhandari has the rare distinction of performing the highest number of bariatric and metabolic procedures in Asia and probably globally. He has been the pioneer in starting Robotic Bariatric surgery in the country and was the first surgeon in the country to perform Robotic Duodenal Switch. To date, he has performed more than 18000 bariatric procedures.   Dr Mohit Bhandari is also an Endoluminal weight loss specialist and is credited with performing one of the first and highest numbers of Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty in the Asian subcontinent. He has also pioneered the most extensive single-incision weight loss procedures beyond 2000. Dr Bhandari holds the Director of IBC- ASIA position and is also a Committee Member on IFSO Bariatric Endoscopy Board. Dr Bhandari is the first surgeon in India to start with the Swallow Balloon with the Allurion Program and has already put more than 500 balloons. Dr Bhandari's centre has been ranked one weight loss surgery centre by the Times of India and 3IC Research Consultants audit for five years. He features in Limca's book of records and World Book of Records for performing the highest number of bariatric procedures done at a Single Centre by a Single Surgeon, 25 cases in 11 hours and 60 patients in 12 hours. Dr Bhandari has published massively in the field of Bariatric Surgery, publishing his work in all types of Bariatric procedures, including Endoscopic Procedures, Robotics and Single Incision Procedures. He has published his work immensely in the high Impact Journal and holds the position of Reviewer in SOARD and Obesity Surgery.
