Nunoo-Mensah King's College Hospital & Cleveland Clinic London

Joseph Nunoo-Mensah graduated from Queen’s Medical School, Nottingham, in 1993 and completed a Higher Surgical Training program in Manchester in 2005. During 2002-05, he received extensive training at the University of Southern California and Mayo Clinic Arizona in the treatment of complex/tertiary colorectal diseases and minimally invasive surgery. The areas of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, and advanced proctology are of particular interest to him. Mr Nunoo-Mensah is the head of the colorectal surgery department at King's College Hospital, London, and also practices at Cleveland Clinic London (CCL), where he is also the chairman of the Conflict of Interest Committee. From 2022 to 2024, he will serve as the President of the prestigious International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Besides his involvement in postgraduate education, he was the founder and program director of the Dilemmas and Debates in Colorectal Surgery Conference, which has been held at King's College London (KCL) since 2013. Furthermore, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at KCL, and he has published extensively in major surgical journals and textbooks on colorectal diseases.
